Students from a Weston-super-Mare school worked tirelessly for two months to pull together a dance extravaganza.

BTEC and GCSE students from Hans Price Academy, in Marchfields Way, put on an evening of music and dancing for parents and students.

More than 65 routines auditioned but one 36 dances made it through to the final show.

Dances included a jazz dance to Black Velvet, a lyrical routine to Wings, a Disney urban routine and a show tune from Blood Brothers.

The students also performed to more than 200 primary school pupils.

Head of expressive arts CJ Skidmore said: “Students have worked really hard on this show and I am very proud of their talent and efforts.

“The primary school audience really enjoyed the show and I would like to thank their schools for allowing them the time to visit us.”
