A WHIRLWIND of creative colour was on offer when students at one school transformed their gym into an arts gallery and put on a fashion show.

GCSE, AS and A2 level students from The Kings Of Wessex Academy had work including fine art, photography and textiles created throughout the year on display.

A fashion show was then held in the main hall of the school in Station Road, Cheddar, inspired by designers Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab and Valentine Garavani.

The designs included themes on theatre, underwear, structure and fairy tales.

Sarah Tsoi, of the school’s Kings and Queens news team, said: “The students thank their art teachers who organised the event and for all their inspiration during the courses, as well as congratulating fellow students for their excellent work.”
