Young writers at a Worle school have had their stories published in a new book.

The year nine English students from Worle Community School entered a national competition with the Young Writers organisation.

They had to write their own spine-chilling gothic stories in only 100 words.

More than a third of the students who entered had their writing published in the book called Spine-Chillers.

The students have all received a copy of the book, which covers writing from youngsters in the Somerset and Avon area.

Young writers aims to inspire students to try creative writing.
