COACHES from the Football Association (FA) have been teaching students at one primary school how to have the best shot at becoming the football stars of the future.

St Georges Primary School is taking part in the FA Skills Programme and its reception, year one and year two students will be getting lessons from skilled FA coaches every Friday until July 10.

The coaching programme is a nationwide initiative and is funded by Sport England.

It aims to give all children the opportunity to take part in sport.

The scheme helps to get the school’s pupils more active and encourages them to develop better techniques when playing football.
