Forest fun for children

YOUNGSTERS enjoyed a spot of the great outdoors as part of a children’s centre’s summer activities.
Children from Banwell, Winscombe and Sandford Children’s Centre took a trip out to Banwell Woods on Friday, where they enjoyed a range of outdoor activities.
They made hats using materials found in the woods, made a fire and toasted marshmallows over it, made caterpillar bread and created habitats for some of the wood’s animals.
Family support worker Vicky King said: “We really wanted the children to explore the outdoors and encourage their curiosity for the outdoors.”
