A POP-UP shop in Weston’s Sovereign Shopping Centre will be home to North Somerset Council’s fostering team and foster carers next week.

The team is inviting members of the public to find out more about fostering over a cup of coffee at the shopping centre from January 21-27.

The authority is desperately short of foster carers, especially for teenagers, and current carers and members of the team will be available at the unit nine shop, which will be transformed into a lounge, to have informal discussions.

The fostering team will also hold an information evening at Mendip Green Primary School on January 29, from 6.45-8.30pm for people who are interested in taking the next step after speaking to one of the team.

For more information contact the team on 01275 888999 or email fostering@n-somerset.gov.uk
