AN ACADEMY in Weston is offering wannabe Hendrixes and Jaggers the chance to cut their musical teeth for free.

The Emarty Academy in Bridge Road has started running free band practice for school bands from Monday to Friday from 3-7pm.

Students from Worle Community School are already practising at the not-for-profit centre, and it is welcoming students from secondary schools across Weston and North Somerset to sign up.
