Weston College’s redevelopment of Weston-super-Mare’s iconic Winter Gardens site and former Arosfa hotel is now underway.

The scaffolding was removed from the hotel, in Lower Church Road, today (Monday), which will make way for a new Law and Professional Services Academy building.

Weston College bought the hotel back in January after it closed its doors as a part of the multi-million pound development.

The College has also announced developments to the Winter Gardens, which include a two-storey bar and sea-view restaurant.

However, these are subject to the contractor surveys which are currently taking place.

The pavilion and ballroom are both set to be refurbished, with the ballroom remaining entirely for public use.
