BUDDING gardeners from an Uphill school saw their fresh flowers and plants travel to Malvern where they were transformed into a seaside display for the spring gardening show.

Year 10 and 11 pupils from Westhaven School, who are studying for a diploma in horticultural skills, have been growing the produce in their glasshouse in preparation for the event.

Award-winning gardener Mark Walker worked in conjunction with the school on the display after they joined forces for a different project last year.

A group of pupils transported the flowers to Malvern on Friday where they helped out Mark, and another group have travelled to the show today (Thur) for the medals day.

Much of the produce will be brought back to the school and will be on sale, along with hundreds of other flora and fauna grown by the pupils, at the glasshouse during school hours.
