CELEBRATIONS took place at Worle Community School as students picked up their GCSE results this morning (Thurs).

The school in Redwing Drive saw a big increase in top exam results this year with 67 per cent of students achieving A*-C in maths and English, and 64 per cent achieved five A*-C grades.

This compares to a total of 52 per cent of students who scored five A*-C grades in English and maths last year.

More than 95 per cent of students passed in ever subject area, and delighted pupils left the school with smiles on their faces.
