A GIANT gorilla created from tubular steel will feature at this year's Sand Sculpture Festival in Weston.
The structure is being made by 18-year-old Weston College student, Toby Moir, who is studying for a foundation diploma in art, design and communications.
The event, which runs from June 11-September 4, attracts thousands of visitors and at 12ft high, the gorilla will not be hard to spot.
Toby has spent months designing and creating the creature, which was inspired by this year’s jungle theme for the festival.
Lucy Finch and Emma Hopkins, both aged 20, are in the second year of a foundation degree in graphic design.
The pair have designed a logo which is being used on promotional material and have also worked on jungle-themed designs for 120 metres of hoarding to be placed around the festival site.
