Students on Weston College’s hair and beauty course have been put through their paces for the chance to make a final competition squad.
The college in Weston-super-Mare hosted a competition for the whole department to pick students to enter into a multi-college competition.
The course’s curriculum manager Sandra Bull said: “The students needed to demonstrate full commitment to their programme of study, which also included maths and English.”
They will now get extra tuition ahead of national competitions and Ms Bull said: “They had to be up to date and on target with work and not afraid to come in for the extra sessions above and beyond their study programme times.”
