FRIDAY the 13th proved to be unusually lucky for Cheddar sportswomen when they won the Somerset Schools County Cup in hockey.
The Kings of Wessex year 11 team beat Castle School 3-1 in the final, which was played at Taunton Vale Hockey Club.
The trio of goal scorers were Millie Gibson, Hollie Freemantle and Lindsay Jones.
Headteacher Chris Richardson said: "I am delighted our girls have won this year's county cup. I know this is a true refection of all their practices and excellent teamwork. Well done.
