A FAIR with an American theme was held at a Weston primary school last weekend.
The event at Ashcombe Primary School in Earlham Grove coincided with the United States of America’s Independence Day.
It was organised by the Ashcombe Friends Association, and raised a sizable sum of about £4,000 towards school funds.
There were a number of games, including hook-a-duck and splat-the-rat, while people could try their luck on the raffle and tombola.
There was also a barbecue and RNLI crews talked to people about their life-saving role.
