PUPILS have been learning about all things French during their international week.

Years one and two were learning about the French speaking Madagascar while years three to six were learning about France.

Key stage two children were learning France’s history, geography and language and made Eiffel Towers out of marshmallows and spaghetti.

Year four teacher Hayley McCutcheon said: “It has been a really brilliant experience.

“They can apply their knowledge and they really enjoyed it.

“All teachers shared the planning so we could come up with some really good ideas.”

It is the school’s third year of doing the week, having previously studied South Africa, and India and China.
