STAFF and pupils at Portishead Primary School flew off to various holiday locations from the schools' airport this week.
As part of the school's Creative Curriculum and focusing on geography and cultural understanding, staff transformed the school into an airport for two days and organised lots of exciting activities for the children, ranging from writing airport information leaflets to researching the culture of each country.
The children were allowed to wear their holiday clothes and arrived at school complete with their luggage, ready to board a flight to the country they had studied.
