YOUNGSTERS had an insight into the roles of different figures in the community thanks to a latest project.
Jessica Brown, Lois Shearer, Craig Tolliday, Karl Shobbrook, Reece Watts, Jake Jones, James Carter and Harry Blick were working on a challenge called Being an Active Citizen.
The Worle Community School pupils identified members of the community and wrote letters inviting them to contact them with regard to being interviewed.
Through interviews, including with mayor Phil Judd, they had the opportunity to have an insight into roles which people undertake voluntarily within the community, experience of being in an interview situation and responding to questions.
Students were not in school uniform that day as they were paying tribute and raising money for St. Peter’s Hospice where teacher Christine Lemin recently died.
