Children in Worle got their half-term holiday off to a sparkling start when they got their fingers dirty at an arts and crafts session.

The event took place on Tuesday afternoon at Worle Library, in High Street.

Children were able to make paper minions, complete with three-dimensional eyes and hair, in honour of the popular yellow characters from the film Despicable Me.

They also enjoyed making insects by using materials such as glitter, sequins and glue to ensure their designs stood out.

Youngsters also enjoyed a range of tales as staff treated them to a story-telling session.
