Mead Vale School, in Kestrel Drive in Worle, hosted its bi-annual fete, which one of the organisers hailed as a ‘great day.’

There were 65 stalls on display in total, with four of them organised entirely by year six students.

Jess Matthews, chair of the parent, teachers and friends association, said: “The year six children have all the ideas themselves and any money they raise goes into funding their leavers’ disco.

“It was a fantastic day and each time I wonder how we are going to top it next time.”
