PILL school children enjoyed a road safety lesson with a difference when police officers used a Scalextric to teach them about potential dangers.
Pupils from St Katherine's School took part in the session on March 27 as part of the police's Project Kickstart.
It is aimed at raising awareness among future drivers about the consequences of using vehicles irresponsibly.
Students were taught about identifying hazard points and acting appropriately to avoid collisions.
They were also given a safety talk by PC Dave Adams from the road policing unit and PCSO Laura Wheeler from the neighbourhood beat team.
