A GLITTERING event was held to mark the work of talented young musicians.
The Catrine Basil Music Awards were staged at Sidcot School in Winscombe.
The annual event was founded by Malin Basil in memory of her daughter Catrine, a gifted pianist and composer.
The 17-year-old Sidcot pupil died in 2003 while on holiday with her family and so the money put aside for her education, as well as donations and cash from fund-raising, is now used to reward musically-talented students.
The winners of this year's event were Alex Buchannan (strings), Isis Wolf-Light (piano), Catriona McDermid (woodwind) and Eleanor Audet (voice).
