MOST pupils returning to school after a week off may not be looking forward to it – but at one primary school they are likely to go back with a big grin on their face.

Churchill Primary School has invested in some new playground equipment for its older pupils and has just opened it for the kids to enjoy.

And to ensure it was exactly what the kids wanted, children were asked to come up with their own designs during the planning process.

Local builders then put the ideas together and Churchill Parish Council donated the old side from Churchill Rec for the kids to enjoy.

A school spokesman said it was a ‘super team effort’ and everyone would benefit from the new facilities.
