STARTING school can be an uncomfortable experience for children and parents, but reception pupils have found a novel way of making the transition a little bit more comfortable – by making cushions.
Parents of youngsters at St Andrew’s Primary School in Congresbury were invited to join their children to sew, stitch and stuff their own cushions in a variety of different colours and patterns.
They then joined them for lunch as part of the school’s ongoing induction programme.
