NINE children have been appointed as school ambassadors.
Year six students at Churchill Primary School were asked to apply for the role which will give them extra responsibility around school, including looking after the younger children at lunchtime and organising playtime events.
The pupils who were keen to take on the role were interviewed by interim headteacher Jenny Venning and chair of governors, Sue Furniss.
Mrs Venning said: “It was a real pleasure to interview each child. They are all so proud of their school and have lots of things that they want like to share with visitors.”
