STUDENTS at a North Somerset primary school may be able to wave goodbye to bumps and grazes after a new playground was installed.

The old surface around a ‘log labyrinth’ climbing frame Lympsham First School, in Rectory Way, was ripped up and relaid over the summer, with the new surface described as much safer for children to enjoy.

The labyrinth itself was installed thanks to lottery funding in 2011.

Fiona Robertson, the school’s headteacher, said: “The log labyrinth has proved extremely popular and this will just make the children’s enjoyment a bit safer.”
