Olympic gold medalist James Cracknell will attend a Worle school during a family fitness day in June.
The rower, who won two gold medals, will be part of the event at Priory Community School, in Queensway, raising money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
Families are invited to take part in dancing, gymnastics and athletics on June 10 from 9.30am-12.30pm.
The event aims to encourage families to get fit together and highlight the sporting activities available in Worle.
Organiser Vanessa Mawford said: “We welcome families and visitors to what is going to be a tremendous family fitness day.
“James Cracknell is an Olympic hero and it will be great to hear what he has to say.”
Activities will include beat the goalie football, tennis and archery. There will also be displays, and free gym sessions and physio appointments.
The Bone Cancer Research Trust is Priory’s charity of the year.
