A PRE-SCHOOL in Uphill has a new outdoor play area which is designed to allow children to enjoy outdoor play equipment in a safe environment.
St Nicholas Church Pre-school in Old Church Road removed a Porta-Cabin to create space for the area.
They raised money for it by holding events such as sponsored walk, skittles evening and silent auction.
The rest of the money was given in a grant by North Somerset Council.
Pre-school leader Carol Hartley said: “The children are very excited about being able to try out our fantastic new play area.
“We have been fundraising for a long time, but the end result is more than worth it as we have ended up with an area that allows children to let off steam but incorporates the very latest safety features.”
