A NEW scheme launched by Puxton Park is aiming to teach youngsters about farming, how to nurture animals and crops, and agriculture.
Youngsters from St Anne’s Primary School in Hewish were the first to have a hands-on look at the running of the farm, and youngsters helped to harvest the current sweetcorn crop.
They also helped to rear some of the farm’s Gloucester Old Spot pigs and prepare corn for sale in the farm shop, while an autumn exhibition of work on how food is produced and sourced will be exhibited at the park at the end of the month.
