Students celebrate prom before starting college

Delighted students from a Weston school arrived at their prom in style.

Pupils from Baytree School were treated to a ride on a vintage open top bus to attend their prom at The Campus.

Six students are leaving the special school, which is based at The Campus in Highlands Lane. The pupils are heading off to various colleges, but they enjoyed a night of entertainment before saying goodbye.

The students met at The Summerhouse in Worle, where the vintage bus picked them up.

Amanda Stephens, teaching assistant at the school, said: “This year we have six students leaving, all going on to various colleges.

“We are so proud of the achievements of our young people. All students had an amazing evening.”

The specialist school caters for young people with severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
