PUPILS from across North Somerset have been enjoying theatre trips, writers' workshops and spelling bees as part of an annual event.
To coincide with Weston Federation of Schools Literature Festival, a poetry 'slam' was held at Worle Community School.
As a form of competitive poetry, slamming involves students writing and performing their own pieces. It then culminated in a competition to create the best poem.
Students from Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College and Baytree and Westhaven Special and Priory and Wyvern Community schools also took part in the event.
