WORLE Community School’s English department says it is delighted to have its continuing good work recognised by Ofsted.

The schools watchdog recently praised and recognised the love of reading and the engagement with books of all pupils, as well as behaviour in all lessons and the quality of teaching in English.

Headteacher Peter Binding said: “I am delighted that Ofsted has recognised the good work that the school has done in developing a love of English language and literature with our students.

“This is due to the exceptional commitment of the staff and the leadership of Mr Walton and the current head of department, Mr Miles.

“This will spur us on in our drive to become an outstanding school within the community.”
