Priory Community School hosted its fourth annual competition and a dozen primaries from North Somerset sent youngsters to the event.
Castle Batch word-wizz Chris Hutchings took the honours by beating St Mark's Primary pupil Sam Stokes and Aimee Searle from Bournville Primary into second and third place respectively.
