Priory pupils dance the night away at 'wonderful' prom night

Year 11 pupils from Priory Community School made their way to Weston's Rookery Manor for a 'wonderful' night of celebration.

More than 200 pupils dressed to impress for their prom night on Thursday.

The Worle students posed in the sunshine for friends and family at the school, in Queensway, before heading over to the party venue, in Edingworth Road.

It was a bittersweet night for the pupils, who relived some of the fantastic memories from their time at the school but also said their farewells to friends and teachers.

Executive principal of the Priory Learning Trust, Neville Coles, said: “We are so proud of all our students.

“They have done magnificently over the last five years and will always be part of our Priory family.”

Principal Jane McBride said it was a ‘wonderful’ evening and it was a ‘delight’ to all of the pupils there.

More than 70 members of staff also dressed up for the occasion to celebrate their students and the school’s mascot, Percy Priory, was also on hand to pose for a selfie.
