THE first headteacher's award was presented at a Weston school this week.

Bournville Primary School head Adam Matthews handed out a cake and biscuits to Corey Turnbull for his achievements during the year.

A school spokesman said: “Corey’s fantastic achievement is the result of earning 150 merit marks. Corey’s been a hard-working and outstanding member of the school and his award is a credit to contribution to our school.”

A special tea with Mr Matthews and Corey’s friends was held in the star pupil’s honour after the assembly.
