MORE than a thousand plastic bottles were put to good use at Sandford Primary School, as pupils completed the building of their bottle greenhouse project.

The youngsters collected 1,200 bottles with the help of Thatcher’s Cider and May Gurney Waste Disposal to build the greenhouse and reach their eco silver award.

It was officially opened by Martin Thatcher, managing director of Thatcher’s on Monday.
