HAPPY youngsters at a Somerset school celebrated the official opening of their new foundation unit.
Author Eileen Browne cut the ribbon to open Draycott and Rodney Stoke First School’s Stepping Stones classroom.
The foundation unit was created as a result of new research which suggests that children aged up to five should also have the same education rather than separating pre-school and reception years.
Stepping Stones includes an extended classroom with its own toilets, kitchen area and enclosed outside play area, as well as a breakfast club.
