PUPILS at Banwell Primary School said goodbye to a much-loved member of staff with a farewell assembly.

Alison Arnold has worked as extended schools coordinator at Banwell and linked to Churchill Academy since 2009.

She helped set up the new breakfast club, film club, has driven the school minibus and organised a variety of activities at the school.

The children presented her with a bouquet of flowers and a special school leavers’ teddy bear as mementos.

Headteacher Harry Cadwallader said: “Alison has also been a great link for children leaving Banwell Primary School to go to Churchill Academy.

“We are all going to miss her and would like to wish her all the best for the future.”
