THESE youngsters are hitting the fundraising trail after two bikes were stolen from Milton Park Primary School.

The theft of the children’s bikes, both worth about 250, has led the school to start fundraising for a more secure storage area.

The youngsters will start off by holding a pancake flipping competition on Shrove Tuesday, but will also think about a variety of other ways to raise money.

The school’s foundation stage leader, Katharine Jordan, said: “It was a real shame that the two bikes were stolen over the Christmas holidays, we think at least two people climbed over the fence to get them.

“Now though we’re really hopeful we can raise enough to provide a nice, secure storage area and our pancake flip-off is only the start.”
