PUPILS at Winscombe Primary School took part in a Dragons Den-style enterprise day themed around the Olympic Games.

They had to come up with an alternative award to replace the Olympic gold, silver and bronze medals, with ideas including winning tea with the Queen and charm bracelets.

Guest speakers such as Siobhan Mullery – a World Championship gold medal winner for cycling – and Stuart Leaney, director of Recruit UK, helped them in their task.

Mr Leaney, headteacher Linda Grogan, chairman of governors Matt Johnson, Sue Brain from the Winscombe Co-Operative store and governor Paul Davies played the part of the dragons at the event on May 31.

The winning team came up with the idea of sending winners to Greece, the home of the Olympics, for a prize.
