PUPILS at schools in Weston took part in a series of Olympic-themed activities aimed at boosting their confidence.
More than 120 students from Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College, Oldmixon, Walliscote and Windwhistle primary schools signed up to take part in the programme, which used games, photography and sport to build motivation in numeracy, literacy and IT.
The events, which ran from February 22-25, included Olympic-themed games and sporting challenges, and photography and film-making workshops at Broadoak College, with the youngsters presented with medals, certificates and CDs at the end of the week.
