ZOOKEEPERS, lawyers and aircraft manufacturers were just some of the potential careers discussed at an annual school convention this week.

Churchill Academy and Sixth Form welcomed more than 35 businesses, organisations and further education providers to give pupils a chance to ask about certain jobs.

Staff from Airbus, Avon and Somerset Constabulary and Sainsbury’s among others were on hand to advise teenagers about what their jobs are like and local colleges and universities advertised the courses they offer students.

The pupils also had the chance to try out various work sectors, such as health and beauty.
