PUPILS at Sidcot School helped to make a difference to the lives of children in Tanzania on a two week expedition over the summer.
The school has previously collaborated with the government of the African country on the raise the roof project to build new schools, and the expedition saw pupils and staff visit the town of Moshi to decorate classrooms, plant trees and visit orphanages and the rehabilitation workshop for the disabled.
The youngsters raised 6,000 towards the fund for decorating the school by bag packing at supermarkets, organising sponsored walks and holding a Tanzania day at Sidcot, while another trip is planned for next year.
