EMOTIONS ran high among year 11 pupils at Kings of Wessex School when they celebrated their last day at school.
Although many students will be returning to the school, in Cheddar, in September to start their A-level exams, the day marked the end of compulsory education for the 15 and 16-year-olds.
Students enjoyed a barbecue on the school field and took turns to sign each other’s year books and school shirts.
Year 11 leader Terry Clark told the students: “You will look back at photos of yourself and recall, in a way you can’t grasp now, how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. Enjoy your youth.”
