A GOSPEL choir from Churchill Academy and Sixth Form wowed the audience at Wells Cathedral during their latest concert.

Youthful Spirit, led by Churchill’s director of music Alison Cooper-White, played twice during the cathedral’s year in a day event on January 30.

They performed during the Ascension and the Christ the King sections of the event, which praises the whole ecumenical year in one day.

Cathedral spokesperson Rosemary Lunn said: “The students were
wonderfully exuberant and played with such
joy and energy.

“My only regret was that we weren’t able to hear more from them.”
