AN entrepreneurial student from a special school in Uphill has created his third batch of quiz books for adults and children – and he’s only aged 14.

Year nine pupil Jamie Cole, who attends Westhaven School, started designing quiz books in March last year after entering the Make Your Mark art competition.

He only had a month to create and design his Easter quiz books, and they were such a success that Jamie, who has autistic tendencies and Tourette’s syndrome, decided to make a second batch for Christmas.

He has made £500 from the sales of the first two sets of books, of which he donated around 25 per cent to Weston Hospicecare.

Now he is releasing his third set of quiz books called Summer Holiday Boredom Breaker, with editions for both children and adults – and will again be donating some of the proceeds to the hospice.

The latest books, priced £2 and include a free pen, are available from the school and Jamie, of Knight Close in Worle, is also hoping to sell them in a local shop.

Bernie Richardson, deputy head of Westhaven School, said: “It is great that Jamie has taken it upon himself to create these quiz books – he is very motivated.”
