IN the last week of the spring term, students at The Kings of Wessex School in Cheddar had a timely visitor – their very own rooster.
No one knows where he came from, but the plucky animal decided to take up temporary residence at the front of the school for a week.
A school spokesman said: “There’s no denying, with a particular biblical moment in mind, he aptly heralded the forthcoming Easter holidays.”
