YOUNG athletes from North Somerset’s schools competed in a cross country competition.

Pupils from years three, four, five and six from Windwhistle Primary School, on the Bournville estate in Weston-super-Mare, also made the trip to Hutton Moor Leisure Centre.

Windwhistle’s PE co-ordinator Emma Vine said: “Around 500 athletes from schools across North Somerset came together to demonstrate their fantastic running skills.

“All of our athletes performed brilliantly with a special mention going to Kaylun Marnoch in year four who came fourth in his category and Louis Down who came first in his.”
