A school council in St Georges raised enough money to build a new gazebo in their playground.

The pupils at St Georges Primary School in Pastures Avenue have been busy raising funds for the gazebo on the playground.

The school council organised a number of cake sales to raise the funds needed for the structure.

The work to build the gazebo was completed just in time for the summer.

On Friday, members of the school council were able to the ribbon to mark its official opening.

It will now be available for the whole school to use and enjoy during break times.
