STUDENTS at one North Somerset school will be going up against the best of the country’s singing talent after being nominated for a prestigious award.

Sidcot School has been shortlisted for the school music award at this year’s education business awards, which is being held at Arsenal FC’s Emirates Stadium in London on Thursday.

The school’s director of music Bev King said: “Obviously for me this award is really exciting, but I think the nomination is a credit to our students and the hard work they put in week in week out.”
