CHILDREN at a Weston school have been getting their hands dirty to create their school logo out of plants.

The youngsters at Windwhistle Primary School, based in Kingsley Road on the Bournville estate, have been busy planting and looking after a flowerbed near the reception area.

The children also painted stones to go alongside the flowers.

The flowerbed has been built next to a windmill in the car park.

The after-school gardening project is one of several activities at the school aimed to get children engaged in nature.

Pupils are taking part in a year-long forest school project, set up by the charity XTND.
